Director’s Biography:

Mano Khalil

Léonor Séraille obtained an MA degree in General and Comparative Literature at University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle and is educated in Screenplay Writing at La Fémis in Paris. During her studies she took part in writing and making short films, making Body in 2016. Montparnasse Bienvenüe (2017), Séraille's first feature film, premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes FF and won the Caméra d’Or for the best debut film. The film also won the prize for best French feature film at the 6th Champs-Élysées FF.

Synopsis:

In the late 1980s, Rose moves from the Ivory Coast to Paris with her two young sons. Spanning 20 years from their arrival in France to the present day, the film is the moving chronicle of the construction and deconstruction of a family.
