Dhondiba Balu Karande is a writer, director, and an actor. He has been part of thousands of performances of multiple street plays, commercial, and experimental plays. Palshichi P.T. (2018) was his debut feature film as a writer, and director.
Sadanand Gaikwad is a newly appointed enthusiastic teacher in a Zilla Parishad school in a small village called Bharatwadi. Gaikwad Sir brings a lot of new positive changes in the school. He instils patriotism and honesty in the students' minds. During this period, he decides to use the funds received from the 15th Finance Commission for the beautification and overall development of the school. But at the same time the election of the village gram panchayat is announced. For the first time, reservation for the post of Sarpanch is announced and here begins a game of caste politics. Different political groups in the village divide people of different castes under the flags of different colours. This affects the political and social life of the village deeply. Political waves of various colours reach the school. The political debate starts with the issue of what colour should be given to the school building. But in this politics, Sadanand gets involved for no reason. Finally, how he overcomes the politicians is the theme of the film.
