Catherine Corsini directed her first feature film, a film noir, Poker. She has presented multiple films at Cannes FF – such as – Les Amoureux (1994), Jeunesse Sans Dieu (1996), La Répétition (2001). Her seventh film, Partir, was a great public success in France and abroad, and was honoured at the Toronto IFF. She returned to Cannes in 2013 at the Certain regard with Trois Monde, then in Toronto.
La Belle Saison received Variety Award at the Piazza Grande in Locarno, received two nominations at the 2016 César Awards. With Un Amour Impossible, Catherine Corsini received the 2019 SACD and Alice Guy Awards and the film received four César nominations.
Raf and Julie, a couple on the verge of breaking up, find themselves in an Emergency Department close to asphyxiation on the evening of a major 'yellow vests' protest in Paris.
