Director's Biography:

Attila Szász is a Hungarian director, born in 1972. Graduated at the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest in 1996. Film critic-turned-distributor-turned commercial director for many years, he directed the 30-minute short "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" in 2005, followed by three feature-length TV movies "The Ambassador to Bern", "Demimonde" and "Eternal Winter". His films have screened at over 180 film festivals so far winning 60 awards combined, received critical acclaim and became audience favorites. His first theatrical feature "Tall Tales" was released in March 2019 in Hungary.

Synopsis

1945, Hungary. Shortly after the end of World War II, when chaos and insecurity reign supreme in the country, a con man tries to take advantage of such confused times. Forced to flee Budapest, he's given shelter in the woods by a mysterious woman and his son. Still trying to confront his demons, he soon finds himself in a passionate love affair with the woman whose husband is about to return home from the front. Unexpected turns, excitement, and emotional roller coasters await viewers in a promising romantic historical thriller.
