Shareef Easa (Shareef C) is a State Award winning Malayalam filmmaker. After completing his education, he started his career as a photographer. Also worked as a reporter in a leading newspaper's district edition. He directed dramas and short films, and also worked as Associate Director in the film field. First Feature Film Kanthan - The lover of Colour won Kerala State Award for Best Film in 2019.
The film tells the story of people whose heart is lost in the land where they were born and brought up. The movie brings home the themes of the historical India-Sri Lanka conflict and how all these affect the life of people in fugitivity. It depicts the untold stories of migrated Sri Lankan labourers.
