Mangesh Badar

Jayant Jathar is an editor – director, working in the Indian film industry. He has edited over 25 films, and many advertisements. Currently, he works as an independent director and editor for advertisements. He has directed many commercials for well reputed and big nationwide brands in India. Panchak is his debut film as a director.

Rahul Awate is a seasoned writer in the Indian film industry. He has worked as a writer on many mainstream Hindi films, which have gone on to be a big commercial hit. He has multiple films, TV Series, web series and web films, Animated films and series to his credit. Panchak is his debut feature as a director.

Synopsis :

Set in a small village of Konkan, this is a story of human psychology towards fear of death, taboos through a humorous perspective. Dead man Anantrao is speaking through a crow’s body as it's a popular belief. He introduces the whole family while they are mourning his death. But the drama erupts as Purohit announces that since the death happened in a particular asterism the whole family is under threat of Panchak. Panchak predicts five deaths in a family of a dead man in one year. Now the fear of death starts playing in the minds of each and every character of the family. As they say, faith and reason don’t go hand in hand. Panchak is a story of restoring faith, not blindly but with open eyes and an open heart.
